Projects

LocalHost Japan

Tokyo AI Film Festival

I led the Tokyo AI Film Festival for LocalHost Japan. I helped bring in sponsors, coordinated the venue setup with the production team, and managed the volunteers. On August 2, 2026, we screened eight shorts selected from about 400 submissions at Tokyo Node Hall. Our sponsors included Digital Garage, KADOKAWA, and Mori Building. Read the festival report. Watch the opening film (3:16).

Demo Day Akiya

I co-organized LocalHost’s March 2025 Demo Day for young founders at Digital Garage’s Camp Akiya in Yokosuka.

Culture and business

Meihodo

As an independent consultant for this cultural center in Aso, Kumamoto, I combined individual activities into a visitor program, developed a premium offering, reworked the pricing, and updated the website.

Korasho at Benesse

I ran social content for Benesse’s elementary school mascot. Our post about skipping a bath earned over 126,000 likes. I set the account’s editorial direction and handed it over to the next team.

StudyCast

I co-built and ran Sutakyasu-kun, a Slack agent that used past posts to draft new ones for our team to review. I also worked on partnerships for the study app and helped bring in CalorieMate.

Events and fieldwork

Series T

I co-organized and emceed this July 2026 pitch event at the Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art. I helped shape the concept and chose the name. Fifteen teams pitched. Watch the event video.

KOSENJIN Hackathon

I helped organize the hackathon at the 2026 KOSENJIN Summit in Nagoya. About 30 participants worked in 11 teams. I also served on the pitch jury.

KOSEN field visits

I visited students at Japanese technical colleges to learn how they built robots and worked on circuits and control systems. Our team visited Numazu KOSEN.

Friends Pitch Night

I co-organized an evening in Tokyo where each speaker took the stage to introduce a friend they thought other people in the room should meet.

School and early projects

Baret Scholars

I traveled with Baret’s first cohort in 2024–25 and reached out to founders in the cities we visited. I gave a talk to my cohort called What Does It Mean to Be East Asian? My account of the trip.

Open Culture Trading Co.

At Baret’s final pitch event, I presented an idea for introducing visitors to Japanese culture through hands-on experiences.

Skyland Ventures

As an intern in 2024, I reviewed pitch decks for the accelerator and helped run its Demo Day.

Campus scooters at UWC ISAK Japan

I arranged to borrow five electric scooters from a local company in Karuizawa and built a checkout prototype for students. We won first place in our school pitch competition.

OtoOne and Entrepreneur Weekend

I co-founded OtoOne and organized Entrepreneur Weekend with four classmates. About 50 people came together at one of our weekends to build business models from scratch.

Startup Weekend Karuizawa

I was a student organizer at UWC ISAK Japan in October 2023. About 40 people spent 54 hours building projects in nine teams.

TRUE LOVE Fund and the UWC alumni study group

I helped start the TRUE LOVE Fund and approached entrepreneurs for donations. After UWC, I organized a study group where alumni discussed a different topic each month.
